Mr. Giorgi Guntaishvili serves as a Junior Associate at LPA Law firm, specializing in civil law. His practice areas include corporate, commercial, administrative and labor laws.
Prior to joining the firm, Giorgi worked for a Georgian multifunctional company handling issues arising between expats moving to Georgia and people across the world. During his practice, he was assisting foreigners to transfer their businesses and properties in Georgia and vice versa. With these all, he was successfully involved in residence permit obtainment and negotiations with Revenue Service, Customs Service, and other governmental agencies. He effectively contributed to researching and analysing domestic laws and regulations, legal due diligence, and corporate matters. Giorgi started his first job as an intern in the aviation management system (TBS), where he accumulated essential knowledge and experience regarding security and air handling systems.
Giorgi holds an A-grade LL.B. from the Free University of Tbilisi and is pursuing an LL. M at the same university to specialize in business and corporate law. He was an assistant to the professor of Philosophy, and along with others, the main course of his studies was judicial philosophy. Under his bachelor's degree, Giorgi has successfully participated in national and international moot court competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and within 11th Tbilisi Vis Pre-moot his team took second place, and the Central and Eastern Europe Moot Competition, in which the team won a prize for the best memorandums. Now he is involved in GAA II National Competition in Commercial Arbitration and the First Consumer Rights Moot in Georgia.
Giorgi recently successfully passed the bar exams, and in the short term, he will obtain a general license for advocating in criminal, civil, and administrative cases.
With his native Georgian, Giorgi is fluent in English and has fair working proficiency in Russian language.
